专家简介：Prof. Nick Quirke

Nick Quirke is Professor of Chemical Physics at Imperial College, London. His group conducts theoretical and experimental research in the general area of nanomaterials with particular interest in their interaction biomembranes and their electronic structure. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, Editor-in-Chief of the international Journals, Molecular Simulation, and the Journal of Experimental Nanoscience. His career has included leadership positions in both academia and industry: He was Principal Research Associate at BP. Most recently he was Vice President and Principal, College of engineering and science, University College Dublin. He was awarded the 2006 NSTI (USA) Fellow Award for Outstanding Contributions in Advancing Nanotechnology and made a Chang Jiang Professor at Xian Jiaotong University in 2014. He is an adjunct professor at the Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT).

讲座内容：

This workshop will start with an overview of the publishing process by Wendy Ding, from the editorial office of Taylor and Francis in Beijing. This will be followed by a short talk by Prof. Nick Quirke on the origins and mission of the Journal ‘Molecular Simulation’. The rest of the workshop will be a question and answer session where participants will have the opportunity to put questions on getting published either to Wendy or Nick.
