专家简介：Prof. Dr. Pavel A. Levkin

Prof. Dr. Pavel Levkin is head of the Biofunctional Materials research group at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany. He graduated from the Institute of Fine Chemical Technology, Moscow and obtained Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Tübingen, followed by postdoctoral work at the University of California, Berkeley. He received the Ewald-Wicke Prize in 2014 and the Heinz Meier-Leibnitz Prize 2015 in 2015. He has co-founded two spin-off companies, ScreenFect GmbH in 2012 and Aquarray GmbH in 2018.

Prof. Dr. Pavel Levkin’ research focuses on the development of functional and responsive materials, and surfaces for biomedical and biotechnological applications. He uses his profound knowledge of chemical applications to find new solutions of biological problems. He has published more than 80 SCI papers in top journals including Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Adv. Mater., Adv. Fun. Mater., Nano Letters, Materials Horizons, etc.
